Whether you’ve been part of the Rock Mill crew for years, or just getting started, we want to you to know that we prioritize the health and well-being of our community in every decision we make.  Please take some time to review our policies and procedures for reopening Rock Mill during these uncertain times.

PHASE 1: Members Only

Starting June 1st, Rock Mill will be reopening to members by reservation only.

Gym Policies

  • Liquid Chalk Only.
  • Drinking fountains will be closed – bring a refillable water bottle.
  • Cubbies and lockers will be limited – bring all belongings in a bag and carry them with you throughout your visit.
  • Rental shoes will not be available.
  • Yoga and fitness classes will not be resuming at this time, but Rock Mill LIVE will be continuing.
  • Children under the age of 8 will not be permitted in the gym at this time. Older children can attend with an adult at a 1:1 ratio.

 

Health and Safety Policies

  • Do not visit the gym if you are experiencing symptoms or have been exposed to COVID-19.
  • Wash or sanitize your hands when entering the gym and frequently throughout your visit.
  • Practice social distancing, staying at least 6 feet apart from other members or staff.
  • Wear a mask at all times while visiting the gym unless you have a health condition that prevents you from doing so.
BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

Be symptom free
Members and Staff must conduct self-assessment and not enter a facility if they are exhibiting symptoms or have been exposed to COVID-19.

Make a reservation
All climbers will need to make a reservation for one of the pre-set 2 hour climbing sessions. Reservations must be made in advance and cannot be made at the front desk. At this time, the child to adult ratio must be 1 to 1, so please plan accordingly. We are also limiting the gym to children 8 and older.

Check-in at your reservation time
Please do not enter the gym before your reserved time. When arriving be sure to check-in using the self-scan kiosk at the front desk.

WHILE YOU ARE HERE

Stay clean
Wash or sanitize your hands when entering the  gym and frequently throughout your visit. Loose chalk will not be allowed at this time, use the provided liquid chalk stations or the various products available for purchase in the pro-shop.

Be aware of your space
Practice social distancing giving at least 6 feet between yourself and any other person. We also ask that you keep your belongings with you as you move throughout the facility. Lockers and cubbies will be limited, and lost-and-found will not be available.

AFTER YOUR SESSION

Wrap-up your session
We ask that you check out at or before your reservation end-time using the self check-out kiosk. Be sure to finish your workout with plenty of time to wipe down equipment, gather your belongings, and wash your hands before leaving the facility. This will help streamline the check-in process for the next round of members and prevent us being over capacity.

Below are our current hours for Phase 1 of our Reopening Plan. These hours are subject to change as we progress into Phase 2.

Mon. – Thurs.:    11:30am – 9:30pm
             Friday:    11:30am – 7:30pm
      Saturday:     9:30am – 5:30pm
Sunday:            CLOSED

 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Reservation Questions

To manage our capacity we are currently opening the gym to members only. In time we will allow punch pass holders and other guests to attend, but cannot say when at this time.

You can click here to make a reservation through our website.

We ask that each individual makes an appointment for him/herself only, plus any children over the age of 8 that will be attending with you on a 1:1, adult to child, ratio.

Each reservation is for the entire facility, including the fitness room.

Reservations can be made up to one week in advance.

If you need to cancel your reservation, please call at least 24 hours in advance to let us know.

Membership Questions

Anyone who has been a guest at our gym in the past can purchase a membership now by clicking here. If you are a new guest and have not visited our gym before, we ask that you do not purchase a new membership at this time.

We understand if you feel uncomfortable attending the gym at this time. If you would like to freeze your membership, you can do so by clicking here. You can choose to freeze your membership for no added fee up to August 31st, and it will automatically unfreeze on September 1st. You can unfreeze or cancel your membership at any point before August 31st to avoid activating your membership on September 1st.

General Gym Questions

We are doing everything we can to ensure the health and safety of our community as we reopen. You can read about our decisions in detail by visiting our Reopening Plan page on our website..

Yes, the fitness room (including the tension board and all weight training equipment) will be available to you within your reservation at a limited capacity. We may have you rotate out if the demand is high.

We will not be resuming in-person fitness and yoga classes at this time. Our Rock Mill LIVE classes will be continuing, and you can learn more about the classes available and the schedule on our website.

Children under the age of 8 are not permitted to attend the gym at this time. Children who are 8 and up can attend with an adult at a 1:1 ratio. Please include any children over the age of 8 in your reservation so that we can account for them in our overall gym capacity.

We understand that things are going to feel quite different at the gym as we take the necessary steps to alleviate risks of the Coronavirus. If you do not agree with the policies in place as we reopen, we want you to know that we respect your opinion, but we ask that you do not attend the gym until we can confidently lift the policies.
