Whether you’ve been part of the Rock Mill crew for years, or just getting started, we want to you to know that we prioritize the health and well-being of our community in every decision we make. Please take some time to review our policies and procedures for Rock Mill during these uncertain times.
- Liquid Chalk preferred (dispensers are available throughout the gym); chalk balls permitted; NO loose chalk.
- Drinking fountains will be closed – bring a refillable water bottle.
- Cubbies and lockers will be limited – bring all belongings in a bag and carry them with you throughout your visit.
- We are currently offering limited in-person yoga/fitness classes, starting with one in-person yoga class on Saturday and Sunday mornings in the climbing hall.
Health and Safety Policies
- Do not visit the gym if you are experiencing symptoms or have been exposed to COVID-19.
- Wash or sanitize your hands when entering the gym and frequently throughout your visit.
- Practice social distancing, staying at least 6 feet apart from other members or staff.
- Wear a mask at all times while visiting the gym unless you have a health condition that prevents you from doing so.
Be symptom free
Members and Staff must conduct self-assessment and not enter a facility if they are exhibiting symptoms or have been exposed to COVID-19.
Make a reservation after 5:30pm
All climbers who intend to visit after 5:30 pm on weekdays will need to make a reservation for one of the pre-set 1.5 hour climbing sessions. Reservations must be made in advance and cannot be made at the front desk. Reservations are not required before 5:30 pm on weekdays or on weekends, and you are welcome to visit on a first come, first served basis during these hours. Our gym capacity is 40 visitors, and you can see how many people are currently at the gym at any given time using our live Occupancy Counter on our home page.
Check-in at your reservation time
Please do not enter the gym before your reserved time. When arriving be sure to check-in using the self-scan kiosk at the front desk.
Wash or sanitize your hands when entering the gym and frequently throughout your visit. Loose chalk will not be allowed at this time. You can use chalk balls, the provided liquid chalk stations, or the various products available for purchase in the pro-shop.
Be aware of your space
Practice social distancing giving at least 6 feet between yourself and any other person. We also ask that you keep your belongings with you as you move throughout the facility. Lockers and cubbies will be limited, and lost-and-found will not be available.
Wrap-up your session
If you made a reservation, we ask that you check out at or before your reservation end-time using the self check-out kiosk. Be sure to finish your workout with plenty of time to wipe down equipment, gather your belongings, and wash your hands before leaving the facility. This will help streamline the check-in process for the next round of members and prevent us being over capacity.

We ask that each individual makes an appointment for him/herself only, plus any children attending as well.
Yes, we are currently providing shoe rentals. Just ask at the front desk!
Each reservation is for the entire facility, including the fitness room.
Reservations can be made up to one week in advance.
If you need to cancel your reservation, you can do so through the RGPro app or give us a call at least 24 hours in advance to let us know.
No, you can visit the retail shop at any time during open hours.
General Gym Questions
Yes, the fitness room (including the tension board and all weight training equipment) will be available to you at any time on weekends and before 5:30 pm on weekdays, or within your reservation after 5:30 pm on weekdays.
Currently we are offering one in-person yoga class on Saturday mornings at 8am in the climbing hall. This class is capped at 20 people and we ask that you make a reservation ahead of time. All yoga guests are asked to bring their own mat and props and to wear a mask throughout the session.
Yes, children are welcome to visit. If you intend to visit after 5:30 pm on weekdays, please include any children in your reservation so that we can account for them in our overall gym capacity.
We understand that things are going to feel quite different at the gym as we take the necessary steps to alleviate risks of the Coronavirus. If you do not agree with the policies in place as we reopen, we want you to know that we respect your opinion, but we ask that you do not attend the gym until we can confidently lift the policies.
